Bosch SMS46II00G Dishwasher

`Twas the weekend before my family was due to arrive for a long weekend, and my dishwasher had gone wrong! With my other kitchen appliances being silver, I knew I was likely in for a struggle. I visited my local Hughes store, however, and was guided to a lovely Bosch dishwasher, specifically the Bosch SMS46II00G. The colour was perfect and matched my other appliances.

This machine has 13 place settings – enough for a houseful – and with 6 programs, the ease of use was very appealing to me. The energy rating of A++ will save me loads of money on the water bill, so I can just load it up without worrying about racking up a large bill. Once it was home and delivered, I couldn’t have been more pleased with it as there was so much space!

The top drawer also has a drop tray for the tablet to fall into so the tablet lasts throughout the wash rather than inefficiently dissolving within a few moments. I like the fact that the machine is so quiet, allowing me to enjoy my family catch ups without the overbearing noise from the dishwasher.

When departure time comes and the family has left, there’s not so much to wash so the half load option comes in handy for me, myself and I.

Depending on the occasion, all programs are used and you don’t have a machine that’s sitting with programs unused. With a large family with young children, the hygiene+ wash comes in handy with baby bottles and making sure they are extra clean. The bottles are looked after as much as the other items in the machine with the heat-exchanger. This means all my dishes are cleaned at the right temperature, with the added bonus of the pre-wash function for those hard to clean items too. My favorite program has to be the glass protection cycle, knowing my glasses are squeaky clean and sparkling – for any unexpected parties.

The youngsters in the family like the idea of washing dishes on the “wonk”… with the top drawer being adjustable, perfect for those tall baking trays and still manage to wash the dishes perfectly.

The other handy little thing is being able to set my dishwasher to start when I want it to. The timer delay makes it perfect for me to control the machine – not the machine telling me when it wants to work. The cutlery tray is also easy to manoeuvre which helps when I am organising the dishwasher to the way I like it.

Another little perk that the machine has is the self-cleaning filter system. Having one less to job to worry about is definitely a weight off everyone’s shoulders, after all who wants to clean a cleaner?

With little feet pit-pattering around the house, the child lock function is worth a mention allowing me to get on with everything without the worry of them causing chaos in the kitchen. I’m always on the go, so I like things to be done quick snap making the quick wash program at 29mins an absolute Godsend, this is perfect for getting those housework chores done quickly, too. And the extra dry function…well who wants to be drying plates?

Overall, this is by far the best dishwasher I have had and with free delivery and exclusive voucher codes, now is the perfect time to buy online or collect in as little as one hour with our Click & Collect service. You can also rent this Bosch dishwasher for just £4.85 per week. For excellent advice in person and demos, call or visit your local Hughes store.
