Krups

Krups is a German kitchen appliance manufacturer, named after its founder Robert Krups and founded in 1846.

Following the 1950s post-war reconstruction and economic boom in Germany, Krups moved into the consumer appliance arena and noted particular success in manufacture and sales of coffee machines, mixing machines and slicers.

In 1991, Krups undertook a joint venture with Nestle to produce the very popular Nespresso machine.

In 2001 Groupe SEB acquired Krups and has ensured that Krups continues as a coffee specialist, producing high end, distinctive and individual products.
