“Hark are those sleigh bells I hear?”

The “Halesworth Festive Lights Switch On” takes place on Saturday the 29th November from 4pm.  This year the event will be hosted by comedian and Radio 4 personality Tim Fitzhigham who once got into trouble with French border police for rowing the Channel in a bathtub, in an ill-advised but well-meaning charity stunt.  Tim will be introducing live music from an up and coming Colchester based band called Backtrackin’ as well as Beach Radio and our very own local marching band.

This year there really is something for everyone; bring your children to see father Christmas who will be riding his sleigh along the thoroughfare in a procession led by the aforementioned marching band, sing along to the carols and meet the cast of Lowestoft’s hit pantomime “Snow White And The Seven Dwarves”.

It’s the perfect time to get that special Christmas gift as the shops in town will be open until 7:30pm for some late night shopping and festive fun. Here at Hughes my elves (Paul and Clare) and I will be serving homemade mince pies and brandy butter and a speciality coffee from our coffee maker.

We hope to see you all there!

IT’S GOING TO BE A CRACKER!!
