Off to the (Duck) Races!

This year Hughes Norwich is taking part in the Grand Norwich Duck Race!

The Grand Norwich Duck Race
All ready in their racing colours.

Dean and his team will be padding down the river from 2pm on August the 2nd 2014. They will be joining lots of other corporate ducks for a swim between St Georges Bridge and Fye Bridge finishing at the Ribs of Beef – the winner of this prestigious race claims a trophy!

Think they’re quackers? Feel free to come down to support the race on the day where over 2000 people will be watching our duck, Huey and his friends set sail all for a good cause, let’s hope there’s no fowl weather!

This is the fourth race of its kind; this event has grown and grown and includes not just the corporate giant duck race – there is also an individual duck race to raise funds for local charity Break (www.break-charity.org).

As a charity Break look after the provision of care in seven children’s homes across East Anglia. In addition to this they also look after young people with profound learning and physical disabilities and two short break schemes for children with disabilities.
