Review: Bosch Sensixx TDI9020GB Steam Generator Iron

Guest blog by Carrie

Ironing: it’s a bit of a Marmite situation. You either love it… or you hate it!

Personally, I’m a massive fan – don’t judge me. I iron almost everything (including towels, underwear and socks) because ironed clothes don’t just look better, they feel better, too.  The crisp, cotton feel of freshly washed and ironed bedding can give your bed the feel of a sumptuous five star hotel suite and surely everyone looks better in sharp creases, rather than crumples. But one thing is certain: whether you are an ironing lover or a hater, the most essential thing to get the job done right is to have the right tools, to make it easier and as time-efficient as possible.

So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the Bosch TDI9020GB (TA-DAAAAA). It is a 3120w Compact Steam Generating iron with I-Temp Advanced settings. This means it distributes an optimum combination of temperature and steam, and allows you to power through ironing all fabrics quickly and safely.

One of the downsides to steam generator irons is that they are often heavy and bulky, which means standing the base unit on a separate table. The TDI9020GB is space-saving as it simply sits in the end of your ironing board. It has an integrated motor within the water chamber to produce enough steam that creases disappear before your eyes!

You may need to fill the tank more often than with normal irons as it produces 65g of steam per minute and is also capable of producing 200g of steam in a vertical position, but Bosch have made it extremely easy to fill so it’s no chore.

It also features a CeraniumGlissee soleplate that allows it to effortlessly glide through anything, and AntiShine technology that means you will never have to worry about shiny patches again.

It’s amazing that you can get all these benefits in something that is no bigger than a regular iron. Your ironing time will be cut in half AND you’ll get better results.  Win, win!

Buy online today or pop along to your local store (just don’t bring your ironing – we don’t do three hour demos!)
