LIVE BIG – GO MINI, with the Bose SoundLink Mini II…

I’ve been a fan of wireless speakers since they first came onto the market. Having initially opted for cheap and cheerful, I had set my mind on buying something that would produce better sound, without being too big to cart about.

After some research and a few demos in my local Hughes store, I opted for the Bose SoundLink Mini II after falling for the amazing sound quality.

With its small and classic styling it delivers a fantastic sound no matter what you play through the speaker. For a compact speaker, I was incredibly impressed by how deep and dramatic the bass sound was.

It was effortlessly simple to connect to my mobile phone and tablet and it’s great that its voice active so you know that the device is connected.

The SoundLink Mini II is super light as well; you can go from streaming at home to on the move in a flash. Its compact size means it takes up only a little room in a rucksack or handbag so you can live life with a soundtrack. I love that if I’m having an ‘off’ day I can instantly perk myself up with some quick and easy music on the move (you can’t go wrong with a blast of Stevie Wonder to put a smile on your face.)

Another great feature about this product it’s the battery life: 10 hours of use. I only have to use my smartphone for a an hour before I’m panicking that the battery is going to be empty before I’ve even had my lunch! The Bose SoundLink Mini II owes its great battery life to rechargeable lithium-ion batteries will keep the tunes playing for hours. The charging cradle means that there’s no messing around with cables; to charge, just drop the speaker onto the cradle and, hey presto, it will start charging. Thoughtfully, those lovely folk at Bose also pop in a USB wall adapter in the box too, if you don’t want to use the cradle.

It doesn’t matter what music options you have whether it maybe Deezer, Spotify, iTunes or even some classic tunes on your mobile or other devices, this speaker pairs with most devices: smartphones and tablets, or even your friends’ smartphones and tablets. It stores up to 8 devices that are already connected to it, meaning that BBQ parties will still be lively in the garden with a constant playlist.

Quite simply, if it’s a Bluetooth® device, you are ready to play any song you want to hear. Fortunately, SoundLink speakers have a good range of around 30 feet (9 metres) so you can set up an impromptu party without wires trailing everywhere.

The Bose SoundLink Mini II really is a premium Bluetooth speaker, from the overall finish and attention to detail giving a sleek design, right down to the buttons and controls in silicone that easy to use during the day and night time. Overall, what I love most is the fantastic sound quality to be had from this little box. I was very impressed with how the twin speakers coped even when fed Iron Maiden on super loud.

The Bose SoundLink Mini II would make a great addition to any music lover’s life. Available in three colourways: pearl, carbon and black/copper, you can even add optional accessories to keep your SoundLink Mini II look as good as it sounds!
