If you love all the benefits of visiting your local Hughes shop in person, but enjoy the convenience of shopping online, then this could be the service for you!

Shopping habits have changed greatly over the last 15 years.  Not so long ago, almost every major purchase we made was done by visiting a local shop, talking with helpful customer advisors, benefitting from the expert knowledge and driving home with something exciting in the boot.  However, today’s marketplace is quite different! Many customers now prefer the convenience and efficiency of online shopping, although this means that our customers often miss out on the years of experience and expert knowledge our staff can provide.

To ensure that our customers always buy the best product for them, we have recently launched a brand-new service called ‘Shop Live’. This combines the advantages of using your local branch with the convenience of online shopping.  Customers visiting the Hughes website will now have the chance of connecting to an expert live in-store via video call… but don’t worry, we won’t be able to see you!  From the comfort of your own sofa, you can have a full demonstration of the latest electrical goodies and utilise the years of knowledge that our advisors have to offer.  They can help you choose the right product for your needs, suggest complimenting items, arrange the delivery and even set up your new rental account!  It’s like you have popped to a Hughes store on your lunch break… without having to leave your desk.

Being in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, this service also offers our loyal customers the ability to shop on their own terms.  If you are concerned about being out in public, having to isolate or are just put off by face coverings, ‘Shop Live’ gives you a safe and interactive way to shop. Although it’s still early days, this new online service has been a clear success, one customer said it was a “Brilliant concept – a step up from live chat and far more responsive and engaging,” while another said the advisors had “EXCELLENT knowledge and experience… helped me make my decision which had taken a week!”
