Review: Bosch Athlet Cordless Vacuum

Guest blog by Jamie

Gone are the days where vacuuming the house ends up with family members tripping over cords or you knocking the family heirloom over on the fireplace, with trailing cords from the back of the vacuum.

The Bosch Athlet requires no cords whilst in use, meaning the agility of the appliance is no longer held back by needing to find a plug socket in each room or the limitations of the electrical wire.

A full charge takes around 6 hours which can easily take place whilst it is stored away. Storage is nice and easy as the model stands by itself with a small charge cable going to the rear of the appliance to a socket. The lithium battery inside is strong and durable, meaning it is built to last many charge cycles.

athlet-highpA long run time of 40 minutes and a reasonably sized 0.9 litre capacity allows a good capability for an intensive house clean, with minimal effort from you!

The vacuum has a strong performance on all floor surfaces, whether it’s carpet or vinyl, for example. Additionally, sensor technology allows it to recognise those areas needing a little more attention.

In summary, having used the vacuum I feel it is incredibly easy to use and is perfectly weighted for comfortable use. The run time is sufficient for a good vacuum of the house but the filter requires regular cleaning for optimum performance.

If you are looking for a lightweight, versatile household cleaner and don’t mind keeping up with the maintenance of the filter then this is the cleaner for you.
