Review: Russell Hobbs Brew & Go

Guest blog by Diane

I’ve been fortunate enough to review the new Brew & Go from Russell Hobbs. I love a cup of coffee on the go but my £2.75 daily flat whites were starting to add up. As a coffee lover and with Christmas fast approaching, I jumped at the chance to trial a great machine at a great price too, of only £29.99 (so it’ll soon pay for itself)!

First of all, it’s extremely simple to use. The instructions are all straightforward and it was almost ‘plug and play’ (or plug & sip). It makes great coffee, just like a coffee machine, filtering straight into a handy, thermal travel mug, perfect for people on the go. I can now take my coffee on the way to work with me or when out and about so on these cold days I have a hot drink, exactly when I want it.

Untitled1It has a versatile 24 hour programmable timer, with automatic shut-off. I set this to be ready for my journey to work and came downstairs, to the wonderful aroma of fresh coffee. It has a lovely contemporary design so looks good on my kitchen worktop taking up very little space. At the weekend I set it by my bed (a little later than in the week, why let a review interrupt a lay-in?!) This was a great idea: I had a great cup of coffee ready as soon as I woke and what a lovely smell to wake up to! Its ergonomically shaped mug is easy to hold thanks to its simple design, and holds up to 400ml of coffee – enough to kick start even the coldest, darkest Monday! Put simply, this is a great design, great product and at under £30, will be a brilliant Christmas gift for any coffee lover.
