Heat pump technology operates at lower temperatures than conventional dryers, reducing running costs while protecting delicate fibres from unnecessary heat exposure. This makes it suitable for drying a wide range of fabrics, including more sensitive items that require careful handling.
The honeycomb drum surface lifts laundry higher during rotation, allowing items to remain in the warm air stream for longer and dry more evenly. Small air pockets formed within the honeycomb pattern cushion the fall of garments as they tumble, resulting in gentler treatment and reduced creasing. This can also make subsequent ironing quicker and easier.
DryProtect is a patented filter system that maintains consistent dryer performance throughout the appliance's service life. By protecting the heat exchanger from lint and debris, it helps sustain shorter running times and lower energy consumption without requiring the heat exchanger to be manually cleaned.
If laundry cannot be removed immediately once a programme has finished, the anti-crease function periodically loosens items at regular intervals to prevent excessive creasing from setting in during the delay.
The TEC645WP is compatible with the Miele@home system, allowing the dryer to be connected to the Miele app. Through the app, users can control the appliance remotely, receive notifications when a cycle has completed, monitor energy consumption, and create personalised drying programmes.
