Our highly trained teams are experienced in delivering and installing a wide range of products, from washing machines and integrated appliances to ovens and mounting your new TV on the wall. 

At the moment, installation is available online for a selected range of products. For customers who visit us in store, we’re pleased to offer a much wider choice of options, with our teams on hand to help find you the best solution.

When will my product be installed?

When we deliver it. All our installations take place on the day of delivery, including if you have booked it for tomorrow. Just make sure you select installation when you check out.

All our installations are completed by highly trained teams, experienced in delivering and installing a wide range of products. 

If our team is unable to complete an installation, they’ll clearly explain the reason why, including any safety regulations or installation requirements that need to be met before work can go ahead. 

To help maintain our safety and high standards, our teams will also take photographs during or after all installations for internal quality and compliance checks.

Hughes Installation

If you live close to one of our stores, your product is likely to be installed by one of Hughes’ own installation teams. Our engineers are local, working from service hubs in the heart of East Anglia, so keep an eye out for our Hughes vans when you’re out and about.

  • Trained by our expert trainers.
  • All installers undertake lengthy training on appliance installation.
  • Trained in our purpose-built training facility.
  • Installers are approved by a trained assessor before completing customer installations.
  • All staff are trained on how to cut wood worktops for hobs and fit decor doors to dishwashers, washing machines and refrigeration appliances.
  • We follow clear in-house installation standards and processes to help ensure every installation is completed professionally and consistently.

Trusted partners

We deliver and install products to our customers across the UK. For our customers who live further away from our stores, your product is likely to be installed by one of our trusted delivery and installation partners Arrow XL or BJS.

Their staff are well trained and experienced in installing a wide range of products and always ensure they give our customers the great service they need.

How to book Hughes installation

If you’d like us to install your product for you, simply select installation when you check out and our teams will be on it. 

For some products, we currently only offer installation for purchases made in store, our teams will be able to help with this when you visit. For these products you will not be able to select installation when checking out online.

In the unlikely event we come across a problem we’re unable to resolve during installation, we’ll provide a connection advice sheet explaining the issue and what may be needed before installation can go ahead in the future.

If your new appliance is replacing an old one, on selected products, we also offer a disconnection service. Before installing your appliance, Hughes can disconnect and remove your old one.

Unpack and take away

Want to save yourself a trip to the tip? Whether we’re installing your product or not, we can unpack it and take away the packaging for you, sparing you the hassle of getting rid of all that unwanted cardboard.

Appliance recycling

Unsure what to do with your old appliance? For a small charge, we can take it away with us when we deliver your new appliance and recycle it using our very own recycling centre in Thetford.
