The heat source. Induction is fastest and only heats the pan, ceramic is easy to wipe clean, gas gives instant visible control, and solid plate is the budget option. Check your kitchen has the right supply.
Measure the cut-out in your worktop, then count how many rings you actually use at once. A 60cm four-zone hob suits most kitchens, and a 90cm gives you room for bigger pans.
Induction needs pans with a magnetic base, so check yours before you switch. If anyone in the house has a pacemaker or similar implanted device, check the maker's guidance on induction first. A child lock and pan detection are worth having.
Measure the gap and check the door swings clear, then make sure the right supply is in reach. We can install electric cookers in some areas, so check when you order. We don't install gas, and old appliance recycling is added at checkout.
Every appliance comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and you can add extended cover at checkout. After that our UK team looks after repairs, with spare parts held in stock. Give us a call and we'll sort it.
