Step 1: Delivery & safety check
Our installation team will deliver your new tumble dryer to your room of choice, unbox it and conduct a pre-install safety check.
Step 2: Vent or drainpipe connection
Depending on what type of dryer you have bought, our team will connect the vent hose or the drainpipe to a suitable outlet.
Step 3: Positioning & levelling
After this, our team will place your new dryer where you would like it before levelling it to make sure it’s secure.
Please note: If your tumble dryer is being stacked, we can only install it on top of a washing machine using a suitable stacking kit or onto a secure shelf.
Step 4: Power connection & testing
We’ll then plug in your new tumble dryer to a socket and test that it is working.
Please note: We will conduct a basic polarity and earth loop test on the supply to ensure it is safe and suitable.
Step 5: Product demonstration
After it’s set up and working, your installation team will show you how to use it. This includes showing how to select a cycle, empty the condenser drawer and the location of filters.
Step 6: Clean-up & packaging removal
Once you’re happy, we’ll clear up any packaging and take this away with us, leaving you to enjoy your new tumble dryer.
Use a suitable electrical outlet
We can’t connect your new tumble dryer to an extension cable. We can only connect to a 13amp electrical outlet.
Check your vent point
Please be aware that if you have selected a vented tumble dryer, we won’t be able to drill through walls to create a vent point.
Consider your flooring
If you plan to install your tumble dryer on carpeted floor, please note that some manufacturers do not permit dryers to be installed here.
Allow heat pump dryers to settle
Some heat pump units might need to settle before they are used. In this case we will be unable to demonstrate them following the installation.
Stacking kits
If your tumble dryer is being stacked, we can only install it directly on top of a washing machine using a suitable stacking kit or onto a secure shelf.
Check the room temperature
Most heat pump tumble dryers require a minimum ambient temperature of 5°C. Please consider this when choosing where to put your appliance and contact us in advance if you have any concerns.
